Las Vegas

If you have visited Utah within the past few weeks, then you will understand why Geoff and I took

off to Vegas this weekend on a whim. Utah is gray. From top to bottom. I thought, if we are

going to get through the rest of this winter, we need a reminder of what 60 degree weather

looks like. An hour later, we were in the car, on our way. We luckily have family 20 minutes away

from the strip who were so accommodating to our impulsiveness. Here are a few highlights

from the trip.

First was Cane's Chicken. I ordered the chicken sandwich. Nothing fancy, but very nicely done

chicken.

Geoff and I met Johnny Jimenez, Pawn Stars Toy Expert.

We introduced John and Bonnie, our relatives, to Pho. Really nicely done. The Vietnamese

waitress had a thing for Geoff. The resturant is Pho Bosa.

Nike was having an amazing sale! Geoff got four pairs of shoes and I got a sweater, all for

$100. Deal of a lifetime right there.

We finished off the night strong with the best custard ice cream, nay, the best ice cream I've

ever had. If you are in town, this is a must!

Geoff and I finished our trip the next morning with the greatest pancakes of all time from Baby

Stacks . The top picture was Kahlua Pig Benedict, which was absolutely delicious, which came

with a small stack of Red Velvet Pancakes with Cream Cheese Frosting. Geoff was very

please. I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. I need to learn this recipe, because I have

never loved pancakes so much. They were on the thin side, like a crepe. There are only in

Vegas, so they are also a must. We had one of the best vacations, and I highly recommend it

for any couples who are getting boggled down with the seriousness of life.
